SOCASMA made a submission to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in which we submit that they need to take control of access to residency training because the current system is not only discriminatory but also compromises the public interest by not being competence based. CMGs can fail the MCCQE1 and practice as resident physicians but IMGs have to ace the exam so they are not electronically eliminated from competition.

The submission is on the CPSO webpage. http://policyconsult.cpso.on.ca/?page_id=12365
It is the 8th submission.
