Government wants feedback from us for next budget

Here is a letter from the finance minister asking for our suggestions for the next budget.  We encourage everyone to put in their recommendation to make residencies more accessible to CSAs.

As a previous participant in the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services’ budget consultation process, I am writing to advise you that the Committee will be undertaking its annual budget consultation process in the weeks ahead. The Committee’s annual budget consultations provide a unique opportunity for British Columbians to present ideas on next years’ provincial budget. You are invited to participate again this year by making a written submission, completing an on-line survey or presenting at a community public hearing.

The list of public hearing dates and times are posted on the Committee’s website at www.leg.bc.ca/cmt/finance. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014. To schedule a speaking time, please contact the Parliamentary Committees Office after 9:00 a.m. on September 8th by email or by phoning 250.356.2933.

In the event that you choose to send a written submission or a completed on-line survey, the Committee’s website will provide information on opportunities to respond to the questions in the Budget 2015 Consultation Paper which will be released on or before September 15, 2014 and made available on the Committee’s website. Please note that the deadline for all public input is Friday, October 17, 2014.
