The Doctor Dilemma: There are more than ever, but family physician for every Manitoban is nearly impossible to achieve. 

In 2011, the elected NDP government stated “[b]y 2015, every Manitoban who wants a family doctor will have access to one.” Fast forward to more than halfway into their mandate, the Free Press examined how the NDP is doing at delivering this key health care promise. While it is nearly impossible to know exactly how many family physicians would be needed, the percentage of Manitobans without family care (about 15%) has been average over the past decade.
