WE HIRE FOREIGN DOCTORS, WHILE FORCING OUR CSA CHILDREN TO EMIGRATE
BC has a foreign doctor recruiting agency.
In 2012, BC paid Health Match BC almost $2 million to recruit 268 foreign doctors.
At the same time, BC forced more than 100 British Columbians, and hundreds of Canadians from other provinces, to emigrate to the U.S.A., Australia, and other countries.
This is the enigma that results when the College of Physicians and Surgeons allows admission into the medical profession to be controlled by an institution which is in a conflict of interest.
The university-controlled system looks after itself and its graduates, and not the needs of the rest of Canadian society.
The current admission system to the medical profession is short-sighted, economically irresponsible, socially harmful, and emotionally painful.
How could it possibly make sense to force adult children who are needed to provide physical and emotional support to aging parents to go and serve the medical needs of other countries while recruiting foreign doctors?
How could it possibly make sense to separate families so parents cannot see their grandchildren, and cousins cannot play together on weekends?
Why are the interests of the universities placed above the interests of the family?
